The Solutions Consultant is responsible for working with prospective and existing clients to articulate how Deem solutions can solve their business challenges, and to help manage the configuration and implementation process of Deem solutions. In addition, you will play a key role in interfacing between field resources and Product Management to relay product enhancement and improvements ideas. You will have three very related and specific areas of responsibility:


1) During pre-sales by performing prospect/customer needs analysis and product demonstrations.  Using domain expertise and experience, the Solutions Consultant will directly interact with prospects and customers, alongside the Sales team, to clearly understand requirements and present compelling solution demonstrations as a proof point for Deem solutions.


2) Liaison between field resources, such as Sales, Marketing Professional Services and Support team members, and Deem Product Management team driving solution feedback.  The objective of the Solutions Consultant in this capacity is to assist in improving the Deem solutions in regards to marketplace competitiveness and customer needs and feedback.


3) Post-sales assistance with relaying requirements and expectations to the deployment team and helping to ensure a smooth transition from sales to deployment.  The Solutions Consultant will assist the Professional Services team to ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated to the delivery team leader. 


 For success in this role, you must be detail oriented, organized, dependable, and willing to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility. Strong candidates take initiative and work well independently and if you enjoy a fast paced, dynamic, team environment, you'll fit right in with the rest of the Deem Team. This position can be based out of Deem HQ or from a home office.


  • Develop and maintain expert understanding of all Deem applications and products.
  • Work with the Sales Director/s to contribute in the qualification of opportunities, formulation of sales strategies and technical approaches. 
  • Lead technical meetings with prospects/customers to gather requirements to inform presentations and demonstrations.
  • Develop and present customized demonstrations remotely and in-person to prospective customers based on general, as well as specific use case scenarios.
  • Represent Deem at conference, industry, and sales events as required.
  • Participate in the creation of Business Requirements documents and provide functional and product domain expertise to assist Deem technical groups in preparing and finalizing statements of work and timelines for proposed implementation activities.
  • Maintain all demo environments to very high standards.
  • Assist the Sales Directors in responding to RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP's and answering ad hoc questions.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the RFP database.
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by Sales Management.
  • Work as part of a team to solve technical problems across Deem solution set. 
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams and internal initiatives as directed.
  • Be a liaison with product management to provide feedback for future releases and improvements


  • Minimum of 4-5 years in Solution Consulting/Sales Engineering/Pre-Sales or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to work effectively on a remote basis with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent client-facing skills and experience in dealing with client and technical teams as well as experience in presenting to C-level executives.
  • Proven expertise understanding design elements, infrastructure and administrator of complex enterprise systems and technologies.
  • Strong sales acumen, ability to articulate succinctly a core value proposition, demonstrate technology compellingly and follow tenants of solution-based selling.
  • Work under timeline pressure and multi-task as required to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Have excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, communicate detailed plans and drive results.
  • Familiarity with general technologies such as database, web & ecommerce web applications, network basics.
  • Proficiency with MSOffice suite and familiarity with modern web application tools.
  • Specific domain area of expertise with 5+ years relevant experience (e.g., Travel, Finance/Expense, Ground Transportation, Procurement, etc.)
  • Travel domestically (approximately 50%).
  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in business or technical disciplines desired.
